About Hilary

After training in Hospitality Management in DIT Cathal Brugha Street,

Hilary’s career path led her right into the kitchen to her first love –

cooking! Working in Ireland and the USA, she developed her passion for

food. Travelling through India, Asia, Central America, North America, the

Caribbean and North Africa has strongly influenced her vibrant culinary identity.

Before launching Blas Catering, Hilary progressed through the ranks in

professional kitchens, and had the enviable opportunity of working in the

Michelin-starred Chapter One Restaurant and catering for fine dining

weddings in venues such as Powerscourt House, Co. Wicklow. She

has taught cookery in Cooks Academy Dublin and the Dublin Cookery

School, where she loved sharing her passion for  food, and still passes on her culinary know-how doing

cookery demonstrations. Most recently, she made her on-screen debut

working on a beautiful food documentary for TG4 on the heritage of Irish

food, Bia Duchais, with Marmalade Films.
